π Hey everyone, a short read about me
I’m Mark Burrows! Throughout my career, I’ve dabbled in various roles within the property industry. But I want to share my current focus and vision for the future with you all. π’
First off, I’m a commercial property investor and proud host of a property network. π Additionally, I make it a point to provide new homes for homeless families in need. π‘β€
While I have a portfolio of properties in the West Midlands, I must admit that residential properties don’t quite ignite my passion. Sure, they pay the bills, but being a landlord feels like just another job. π€·ββ
I’ve tried various ventures like buy-to-let, serviced accommodation, lease options, and HMOs, but unfortunately, I wasn’t feeling the love.
But here’s where my passion lies β commercial property! Maybe it’s because there’s less emotional attachment involved when dealing with business owners. For me, it’s all about the numbers. If they don’t stack up, I move on, just like with residential properties. πΌπ°
The difference? With commercial properties, I can engage in structured conversations with agents and vendors. Building rapport is key, as I explore warehouses, shops, industrial units, light industrial units, land, and even churches! πππ’
My focus areas are Wolverhampton, Telford, Shrewsbury, and surrounding market towns. So, if you come across any potential opportunities, big or small, please give me a call! π
Another passion of mine is working with the homeless. Over the years, I’ve rehomed over 40 families who were hit by the benefit cap and could no longer afford to live in London. West Midlands properties offer a more affordable solution, especially with supportive landlords on board. Together, we can make a difference in people’s lives. π€π
So how does it work? I cover tenants’ first month’s rent, help them settle into the area, provide comprehensive property inventories for landlords, conduct right-to-rent checks, and even offer a two-year repair bond. In return, I ask for a two-year contract commitment from the landlord to give families ample time to settle in. π β
